Furmasteel
Furmasteel fire barriers provide a convenient and effective means of containing a fire hazard.  They can be widely incorporated into walls, doors, ceilings etc to protect life, cable trunking and other sensitive supply lines such as gas or fuel, increasing fire resistance and buying valuable time for escape.  In the severest of situations, when protection is needed for up to 4-hour's integrity and insulation to 2-hours, Furmasteel has been tested to meet these criteria.  It also provides high levels of impact resistance crucial in areas of high plant movement.

An effective range - FurmaSteel Industrial - has an 8mm thick cementitious mortar core faced both sides with perforated sheet steel.  It requires no decoration, however, conventional water or oil based paints can be used if decorative appearance is critical.  Ordinarily, no maintenance is required while the panels are in use.

Non-loadbearing partitions of excessive height can be constructed to compartmentalise buildings such as warehouses without a vast loss of floor space.  Fire rated doors have been tested in FurmaSteel walling systems.
