Acoustic Sealing
New government legislation changes to Approved Document Part E "resistance to the passage of sound" has significantly increased the requirement for sound reduction in both new build and refurbishment projects.

Acoustic engineers go to great length to ensure that walls, ceilings and partitions are constructed to achieve the required standard of sound reduction between adjoining spaces.  However, whenever services penetrate these compartments, there is a weak link for noise to penetrate.  Pyrotect work closely with manufacturers to assess the level of acoustic performance of products and utilise the most cost-effective to ensure the overall performance of the compartment is achieved.

High density boards and compounds are used to seal any gaps or openings within the building compartment, and provide sound reduction through walls and floors.  Products can achieve any building regulations requirements, but the thickness and density of materials generally increases with the increased sound reduction performance.
