Fire Stopping

Fire stopping is best defined as the sealing of openings (often with services passing through) to prevent fire and smoke passing from one building compartment to another. This may be vertically or horizontally.

Pyrotect has many years expertise on major projects where the fire stopping is of critical importance. Operatives for this discipline receive continuous training to ensure the highest standards of work and product awareness can be provided to our clients. It requires the operative to have sufficient experience to assess a penetration as it is presented on site for the most efficient fire stopping solution.

Fire Stopping offers :

  • Seal around service penetrations through walls and floors
  • Seal gaps between elements of the structure (eg curtain walling to cladding)
  • Seal gaps to profile decking
  • Fire barriers within ceiling voids
